Top-Down, Every Time
High surfaces first, floors last, so the dust doesn't land on something already clean.
When the trades have left
Post-renovation cleaning for Stratford homes: the fine dust cleared from vents, ledges, cabinets, windows and floors once the work is finished.
A renovation ends twice. First the contractor packs up their tools. Then, for days or weeks afterward, you keep finding dust. It's on the tops of door frames, inside the new drawers, in the window tracks and on every surface you wiped yesterday. Drywall sanding, tile cutting and trim work all make dust fine enough to hang in the air and drift into rooms nobody worked in.
An after-renovation clean deals with it properly. We work from the top of each room down, starting with ceiling fixtures, vents and the tops of cabinets. Then we wipe the walls, ledges and trim, do the insides and outsides of cabinets and drawers, clean the windows and their tracks, and finish with the floors. That order matters: clean the floor first and you'll be cleaning it again an hour later.

Construction dust is much finer than ordinary household dust. It settles slowly, so a surface wiped in the morning can have a fresh layer by evening. It also gets pulled into your heating and cooling system and blown back out through the vents. A one-pass wipe-down rarely gets ahead of it.
That's why we clean in a set order and pay attention to the places dust collects: vent covers, the tops of door frames, cabinet interiors and window tracks. If your furnace ran during the work, it's worth asking your heating contractor about changing the filter too.
Wait until the trades are fully finished. If a painter or electrician still has a day of work left, book us for after that day. Otherwise the cleaning gets undone.
These ranges reflect published Stratford price guides for post-renovation cleaning and are only a starting point. The amount of dust varies hugely between jobs, so we agree a flat price for yours before booking. Price My Clean

No. We clean dust and residue, but leftover materials, offcuts, packaging and garbage bins are the contractor's job. Ask them to take everything away before we arrive.
Yes. A single bathroom or kitchen is a common job. We'll also check whether dust has travelled to nearby rooms and let you know before we start.
